Homeless Veteran Outreach Program

Volunteer to visit locations in Denton and Lewisville to meet with homeless veterans and ensure that we have accountability of the Veterans.  We take this opportunity to provide the homeless Veterans with information and encourage them to seek assistance with a case manager to help them get off the street and into a living arrangement.

Volunteer Coordinator

As we grow and expand the services of the DCVC, the need for volunteers will also grow.  The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsibility for reaching out to the community for prospective volunteers , assessing volunteers for a best fit into the DCVC programs and scheduling volunteers for specific opportunities.

Meeting Coordinator

The Meeting Coordinator will be responsible to help coordinate the Quarterly Meeting program/agenda, send email invites, track attendees and help assess the success of the meeting.

Grant Writer

The DCVC occasionally applies for specific grants to help Veterans.  The Grant Writer should be skilled in developing grant proposals in accordance with the DCVC's goals and objectives.

Denton County Veterans Center

DCVC maintains a desk at eh new Denton County Veterans Center located at 400 South Carroll Blvd. in Denton.  We need volunteers to run the desk and answer phone calls from Veterans and the Public.

Administative Specialist

The Administrative Specialist helps maintain the DCVC's client files.  Our Administrative Specialist should have basic knowledge of file management.  The Administrative Specialist will also assist other Volunteer leaders as necessary.
