ADVOCATES FOR VETERANS and THEIR FAMILIES
America's Veterans and their families have endured many hardships in service protecting our Nation at home and around the World. After their time in service to our Nation, Veterans can and do endure personal hardships and financial instability.
The Denton County Veterans Coalition exists to help those Veterans in times of emergency.
We are a group of Veterans who provide emergency and temporary assistance to Veterans and their families during time of emergency or need. If a Veteran or their family find themselves in need of emergency assistance, DCVC will step in and work closely at the Federal, State or Loal Veteran Service agencies in obtaining and providing needed services
We are a group of Veterans who provide emergency and temporary assistance to Veterans and their families during time of emergency or need. If a Veteran or their family find themselves in need of emergency assistance, DCVC will step in and work closely at the Federal, State or Local Veteran Service agencies in obtaining and providing needed services.
We provide assistance and help to any Veteran who requests our services. We do not charge for this assistance.
It is our goal to provide a "hands up" , not a "hand out". Sometimes a Vet just needs a friend. Sometimes a Vet needs short term financial assistance or has other emergency needs such as food, utility payment, or housing. Every Vet is treated with respect regardless of need.
Our Veteran volunteers work in a partnership that brings together key organizations and services in Denton County. We work to resolve your need. Our partners include the Veterans Administration United Way and local government agencies to help you in any possible way to get Homeless Vets in shelters, or to keep Veterans and VeteranFamilies in their homes.
The DCVC assists in recruiting mentors for peer to peer programs and the Denton County Veterans Court. We regularly work with the United Way Veterans Community Navigators to assist Veterans dealing with service related issues.
